“ My advice to someone wanting to open a business in the Greater Summerside area would be go for it. Then, join the community and get involved-you will find all the support you need!”- Ellen Clements

1. What is your name and name of the business?

My name is Ellen Clements and the name of my business is Inca Glow Out Bar & Boutique.

2. How long has your business been operating, and how long has it been operating in the Greater Summerside area?

Inca Glow Out Bar and Boutique originated on Nov 28/22  at 345 Water St. Summerside. We absolutely love our location!

3. Can you tell me about your business and what products/services you offer?

Inca Glow Out Bar & Boutique offers an all natural amino acid complex smoothing treatment that treats, tones, and tames frizz in one application.  It lasts up to 4 months and controls frizz in high humidity conditions, rain, and snow and for all types of hair. Inca Glow Out Bar & Boutique is the only salon that offers the Inca Glow Smoothing Treatment to PEI.

We are exclusive!!

4. What inspired you to start this business, and what made you choose your location?

I started using this product in 2016. It was like nothing I’ve ever used in my career of 34 years at that time. It was an all natural service. No chemicals to breathe in. It was safe for everyone to use and after I started using it, people were coming back, wanting another treatment, wanting another treatment and telling me how amazing their hair felt- how it’s growing, how it stopped breaking, how it toned the hair how it controls the frizz in extreme humidity, even rain and snow.

We were all in love and it became all I wanted to do, so I decided to create a business around the product. I did that and then the owners of Inca Glow decided to franchise my idea. We are the first of its kind so we are growing and building a strong foundation. I came from a small community and had built a clientele and needed to take it to the next largest community where it was still accessible for us as owners to travel to work. Summerside has a growing population, plus it’s central enough that people from Charlottetown and West Prince would travel until we expanded.

5.  How has the local community responded to your business?

The local community has been amazing.  We feel pretty blessed to be apart of the community, the Greater Summerside Chamber, and Downtown Summerside. Our location is beautiful and even the people walking by and stopping in are so great. We have met so many amazing people!
