Hi! My name is Vanna MacDonald and I own and operate Vanna’s Hair Haven!

I’m located at 613 South Drive (the old Adrenaline Gym) and I have been since April 2024. I started my career in Summerside in December of 2021, but decided to return to my home area of Alberton. At the end of 2023, I decided that I wanted to go on my own and open my own business. I saw the ad for the building I’m in now and jumped on it right away, and started turning it into my dream salon!

Vanna’s Hair Haven offers a wide variety of non gendered services such as: haircutting design, hair coloring, blonding services, bridal services, and philocaly hand-tied extensions.

I love my career and I wanted to offer my clients a calm, happy and safe place where they can come and get their hair done with a one on one experience with me, which is what inspired me to start my own business by myself. I chose Summerside because of the growing population and the different demographic of people I would get to meet. So many new faces!

Since I’m not from Summerside, I was very nervous about opening up my own business and scared that the community wouldn’t take well to an outsider. But the support has been overwhelming. I’ve met so many kind and caring people and I’m truly grateful every time I see them walk through my door!

Being a business owner in Summerside has many advantages. There is so much room for me to grow, there are so many people that are there to support me and help me along the way, and so many other businesses, new and old that want to see me succeed and are willing to help me!

For the future of Vanna’s Hair Haven I plan to stay within the area of Summerside and at the same location. I hope in the future to expand my skill set and hopefully offer some new and different services and stay up with the trends.

I can’t wait to see what the future holds and to meet so many other new people, as well as to see my other clients returning.
